The Maryland Asperger Advocacy & Support Group was formed in 1999 in response to the growing needs of both families and individuals with Aspergers Syndrome. In addition to serving those with Aspergers Syndrome, we serve those individuals who have normal to high intelligence and experience social-communication difficulties and sensory integration problems. Individuals diagnosed with High Functioning Autism (HFA), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Nonverbal Learning Disorder (NVLD), Semantic-Pragmatic Disorder, Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), or hyperlexia are included.
